Many people employ job coaches, physical trainers and nutritionists to help them improve their job potential or physical health. Yet there is often hesitance to enter into psychotherapy.

Are you having a panic attack on the way to work?  Are you afraid that your serious relationship is ending? Are you stuck in a dead end job and don't know what to do to improve your work life?  Are you depressed and anxious?  Do you feel you need two or three drinks to cope with a day?  Are you suffering from low self esteem or social anxiety? Have you suffered trauma in your life? Do you feel there is no way to overcome it?

We all need help sometimes, but it can be hard to figure out the right kind. We are all subject to large and small traumas.  From physical and sexual abuse to being bullied in the school yard,- these are experiences that have left us without hope for our future. There is grief that is debilitating and impacting our present.

Your relationship with me as your psychotherapist will be different from all other types of relationships. Psychotherapy creates a facilitating environment in which you can be seen and appreciated for who you are.

What do you want to see happen in your future?
When you picture this, what would you need to see happen and what skills or help do you need now to make this possible?

  • Let your mind float back to an earlier time in your life when you felt as if you had failed or that you could not have the life you wished for.
  • Now imagine a place of calm or safety. Let yourself breathe deeply. Together, you and I will find a way for you to regain your equilibrium.
  • Recommit to being curious about what you notice in yourself and compassionate too.
